Normal in case you left it on accidentally it doesn't want to discharge the battery completely. Just push the start engine button again without hitting the brake... this will turn it back on. True at least in a comfort access vehicle. I've never tested how long it will stay on again though.

Let me guess, does your wife shop a lot and you wait around in the car?
