because you have pushed cooked and contaminated fluid back through the system you could have potentially damaged the abs hydraulic unit .
I always recommend a fluid flush before any brake work just to be sure all old fluid is removed .
you should try a complete flush now and hope for the best .

Hmm, that could have happened, I loosened the resevoir cap (and closed it before I drove) and pushed all that old fluid back up the resevoir.
I will try a complete flush and see what happens.

I would start with checking the bleed valves, cap and then make sure the fluid levels are still within spec. Maybe bleed some....and pump a lot before you drive.

I did not open any of the beeld valves. I did loosen the resevoir cap, could that have let air in?
