We caught it VERY early (thank God for my kidney stones), it was completely encapsulated (in, of all things, fat), and completely removed; no further treatment was needed.
Though they don't know for certain, smoking is believed to be the main cause of renal cancer. I quit for a few months, but... well, you know the rest. So, yeah, I am motivated to quit because I don't want to die before I'm 40. So, am gonna give it another shot.
