You will sleep better (driving and owning) in a Volvo from the sound of it. I'm on my 2nd BMW and my experience is the exact oposite and I get the benefits of a dynamic driving experience.
For the most part, I have come to the conclusion that for whatever trade off there might be in getting the benefits of driving a BMW for some, they really want to have a vehicle that requires no maintenance and never breaks. For most true enthusiasts they quickly tire of a boring vehicle and are willing to spend more on the price ownership associated with an amazing vehicle like a BMW.
Starting off saying that A)the x5 is a car and, B) when they're right they drive well, indicates a limited understanding and appreciation, of what a BMW X5 really is.
It's more fun to come on the forum and dump on the entire brand and say they are all pieces of crap.
I couldn't disagree more.
