I agree with Tom G. The iPod can also be used as a portable Hard Drive for files, boot a malfunctioning computer, contact storage, as well as an MP3 player - the possibilities are endless.

Those possibilities go out the window though if your the hard drive is too small. Me personally I prefer having more than necessary versus finding myself with not enough. But you gotta figure your needs in comparison to your wants. Maybe the 2 will meet somewhere in the middle.
