You guys are missing the boat; these are not diesel trucks that idle all night in the truck parking lot. Allowing your cold started car, of any brand, to sit and idle for several minutes, or 10-15 mins, is absolutely crazy, imo.

No one posting in this auto starter thread is parked in Barrow, AK or the Northern Territories. Jesssh H Murphy, put on a coat and some gloves, start the car, let idle for less than a min, turn on the seat heater, and drive away gently.
