With the new fan clutch, the fan sound is now pretty much loud. is that normal? my friend's 325 has similar sound, but someone here on the forum said somewhere that the fan might break? the fan is engaging after just few miles of warm up, so practically it's always like that...

Actually, i love the sound, it's agressive, but i just want to make sure that it's normal...

ps: my thermostat is bad i think, and i was running on 80 celcius, and with the new clutch, my running temperature got even less: barely 70
The fan may sound loud once you start the car or if your crawling in slow traffic on a hot day, but it shouldn't be loud all the time. The fan clutches are designed to disengage at a certain RPM.

This may also explain the "bad thermostat" - if the fan is constantly engaged, its possible that the enginr isn't being allowed to reach operating temperature - i.e. the fan is constantly coolging it down, even when it doesn't need it.

So, I would suggest looking at the fan clutch as it doesn't seem to be working correctly.
