A bro-in-law owns a tranny joint in NJ, but he does not do any warrantied trans for 12 months; in his opin, it is almost like here's your part, good luck, in terms of the short duration. He does a few BMWs of varying species per week, and offers several levels of warranty and a couple options of what the "new" trans is, but no warranty as short as 12 months.
He does not ship; only does work in house, and I am not soliciting as he is as busy as a one legged man in an azz kicking contest, but that is his opin on a "one year warranty trans", fwiw.
