Today I had quite a scare merging onto I-393 because I was in a line of traffic...Two cars ahead of me, two behind. This dumb woman in an Oldsmobile suddenly decides at the end of the onramp to hit the brakes as hard as possible... I had to steer around the car in front of me to miss it.... She almost caused a 5-car pileup, at least! I've been noticing it happen more and more, but this is the first time I've been in real danger from someone hitting their brakes at the end of an onramp.. It's so dumb... You're supposed to plan ahead, and start looking before you merge... Then you pick a hole in traffic... Even if you don't see one at first, one often opens up. But you do NOT hit the brakes! If worst comes to worst, use the friggin breakdown lane... It's SO dangerous to hit your brakes at the end.. It's better to kind of merge sideways INTO a car than to be hit from behind by one that's traveling at a speed of 40mph at the bare minimum! Jeeze...
Ok, done ranting for now...
Yeah, I took my weekly 90-mile roundtrip today... I saw 2 Hummer H1s! Those aren't something I see everyday. And they've got the E-Z Pass signs up at the tolls! They're covered by tarps, but it got me psyched!
