@thecount123 - I forgot to suggest this to solve your disappearing audio for DVD, iPod and others. Just try this out. I'm not sure If it will work but go and click...

Settings -> amplifier -> adjust individual volumes slide switches for iPod, DVD, etc.

Go to this screen...




I suspect that the individual volume settings for each have been altered.

Let me know how it goes. No hurt in trying.
