If they're trying to be "Proactive" by making it impossible to use a cell phone in any moving car, why not go the extra proactive step and make every car have a breathalyzer ingnition interlock?

Cell phone use while driving is just symptom of the distracted driving desease. The underlying cause is that sense of entitlement coupled with the lack of common sense that we seem to have about everthing these days.

People have stopped thinking about the consequences of their daily actions. Just because technology has made things possible, that doesn't mean that we have to do it.

Perfect example of that is facebook. The wife and I own a large preschool. Most of our employees have facebook pages. Most of our customers have facebook pages. Some are friends of each other. Our employees can't seem to understand why it's inappropriate to be texting in facebook updates during the day. Hmmm, you're supposed to be taking care of someone's child, but instead you're too busy updating facebook, and everyone knows you're not watching their kids because they can see your updates. "Oh, I didn't think about that..." No kidding.
