Maybe where you heard it,they are also clever than Bosch,who specify 95AH 800A and 100AH 830A for the X5 3.0D and from 70AH 640A to 100AH 830A for the petrol versions!
FYI,the Bosch ref.you posted earlier (S3013) is NOT specified in the Bosch application,for the 3.0D!Only for petrol versions!
Like I said ,I got mine from my dealer for cost reason.Woud have preferred the Bosch as it should hold my battery longer.
