esoteric? You are on a BMW forum correct? LOL! Trust me these headphones rival my shure e4c's. These are very high quality and not to be compared to a $15 walmart headphone with fancy packaging. This is a lifestyle brand and you get a whole lot of bang for the buck. It's more than just headphones. These will be the last ones you buy.
