Winters may have allowed you to stop before driving into the snow drift.

No damage is likely to have happened to the undercarriage from sitting there on the snow. It was resting on the snow, but the weight was spread out over a very large area, so there is a resulting low ground pressure. Damage can happen from the forward motion into the snow bank, if your speed was high enough.
