I certainly think there is a place for aftermarket parts. I use them myself in some cases. I just think that purchasers of those parts should know how to compare them to OE, and that they should be aware of the risks. Education is generally a good thing, it saves people money. It would have saved sunny5280, as he noted himself, above.
