The relay is in the glove compartment. You have to remove the glov compartment and remove the fuse box. The relay is on top of the fuse box.
You might test the battery voltage at the fuel pump connector with the ignition on with a digital multimeter.

So when you tested the new pump, you just powered it up with positive and negative straight off the battery and the pump ran?
Both my old and new pumps do not run when wired directly- this must mean that I am unfortunate that my new pump also is no good- I have ordered a replacement- I shall test that too 2moro.
So just to be clear- when I remove the glove box, I just see the fuse box and no relays- Do I have to remove the fuse box behind the glove box to get to the fuel pump relay? do you know what colour it is?
