With any used car, CPO or not, take the vehicle to you independant mechanic, AAA, who ever and have the car inspected. Also it sounds like you did not test drive the vehicle prior to delivery.

Always test drive and get the vehicle to a disintrested third party for inspection. Never, never trust a dealer.
