I paid $675 (thought it was less) for 3 years.

At the time I thought it might have been a bit of a rip-off, but when I swapped out my summer tires for the winters, I found a big hunk of metal in one rear/summer tire and a big nail in the other rear/summer.

Covers tires and wheels, so any unfortunate curb-rash will not be your problem if you have the Wheel Guard.

In this case, it looks like it may work in my favor.

For $2K I'd tell them to take a leap.
