I can't believe that there will be a lot of AT&T iPhone customers defecting to Verizon. It just doesn't make sense.
- If you have an iPhone 4, you got locked into a 2-year contract with AT&T. No one, like me, is more than 6 months into that contract. The penalties would not make it worthwhile to switch. Even in the NYC metropolitan area, AT&T has improved slightly -- not as good as Verizon but just better.
- I wouldn't buy a new iPhone now. I would be waiting for June (or so) to buy the iPhone 5.
