Tge rear diamaris looked a lot like that when I got my 4.8iS. I put another 4000 miles on and they were completely gone in the middle.

Recently I got some used 315 Michelin Latitudes and they are also quite a bit worn in the middle. Seems an odd problem with the Frenchies. :-)
