When I unpluged the MAF engine ran smother and shifts were nicer, but shudder I was pissed off about still was present.
In this particular case it may help, and more,I had stalls happened twice in two days in a row, when I was coming to stop,it would bang into 1st gear and stall the engine,it happened before, but never to stalling engine point,it was with operative temps on the clock,so it differs from this.
I started my research and found out about a MAF causing this kind of behavior,so I open the hood and surprisingly I find my intake boot loose and detached from the throttle body,so just tightening the clamps solved the stalls.
I your case I would disconnect the MAF connector and see if it does the same, you'll get the SES light on the second start up,you can erase it afterwards,if you have a scanner, even if you don't,I would still try 'cause it could be it.
