Ok I think I have found the answer. Some digging online suggests that the lights dont have a convetional fuse system as such & instead there's a light contol module LCM. The bulbs of course also effectively having there own circuit & failing to illuminate & blowing if the filament fails.

Not the best description & I appreciate no reponses to me prior post but abovew comments may be of use to others albeit a very basic explanation.
