Personally I wouldn't go for this thing even if I didn't currently have contract with At&t - I NEED the ability to use single phone both in USA and other GSM-using countries, I don't really need the "hotspot" thingie (I've traveled a lot last year, both in USA and abroad, every hotel I've stayed at had a WiFi, free or (in case of most European hotels) for a small fee), and with a new iPhone 5 coming this year it's somewhat retarded to put yourself into a new 2-year contract right now with the iPhone 4.
I think those who jump on this immediately will pay the "early adopter tax", and regret it later.

I wonder how much Verizon had to pay Apple to have CDMA exclusivity? Usually, Verizon & Sprint have the same or similar phones, as the two big CDMA carriers. Yet, all the talk seems to be that ATT will continue to be the only GSM provider (in the USA) for the iPhone, and Verizon will own the CDMA side. T-Mobile and Sprint are being kept out even longer, it seems.
