BMW Instrument Cluster Pixel Repair E38 E39 E53 M5 X5 on eBay.ca (item 290498344792 end time 07-Feb-11 15:55:28 EST)

I just got mine,I previously restored the odometer reading which was impossible to read just by reusing the original ribbon cable, but sometimes, from what I read,it looses the leads when you remove it and then you'll need a new one.
Just did the ribbon cable replacement, all the pixels are back! Haven't seen them even since bought my X.
Check out the connectors after I removed an old ribbon cable, Geeze, for sure nothing was working properly,a lot of residue, had to sand it away from the Cluster board and remove with a tooth pick from the LCD glass(be careful it's easily scratchable and you will F@#$ up everything to no return point)
New ribbon cable solved the problem, had to put some folded paper to make more pressure on the connector, but I am so happy with the result.
Also, those Cluster Rings are new and I just fitted them since I knew I was gonna remove the cluster,so ordered some off Ebay.
Just love the look.
