the preliminary on the dc fire was that she hit something in the garage like a propane tank or gas can and released the flammable. i've seen a few cars catch fire from spinning the tires until the tire actually caught fire. as far as x5's being firebombs.. as a firefighter that responds to the interstate, i've been to hundreds of vehicle fires, none of them x5's. i did recently have a 2010 760Li burn to a crisp, but i believe the owner was tired of paying his loan.
