You will find biases on any forum. However, you are more likely to see honest and open discussion on n54tech. It tends to be a bit more mature of a group overall as well. Yes, it is owned & hosted by Terry Burger of BMS. He makes no secret about it. n54tech is a true open forum where anyone can voice their opinions & experiences positive OR negative. As a longtime member, I have never seen any posts on n54tech be deleted. I can’t say this of e90post where posts and entire threads vanish on a daily basis. If people are looking for information on BMS products above & beyond what’s found on the sales site they wont go wrong on n54tech.
No dispute on e90post, but I enjoyed the fact that there was information on several vendors there, not just one. We were talking about doing research, and vendor sites tend to be a little one-sided in my experience. Still valuable: I check www.bmw.ca, for example, but I don't go there for opinions.

I just looked to find the last Procede thread on n54tech, found one, and the second post was "you better ask the owner of this site about this" That is the sort of bias that I am referring to.

I was reading about detection of tunes a while back, and I found much more mature responses on e90post, not at all vendor specific. Good perspectives on the MM act, and what it doesn't cover. There was a similar thread on n54tech, but it centred on an owner who left his meth lines in when he went in for service, the dealer found them, and declined to warrant his fuel injector failure. The comments and suggestions gave more misinformation on the MM act. The whole thread sounded like teenagers caught after crashing dad's car.

I do know what you mean about the petty wars that went on. I think that one just has to sort through such things, it is part of life on the internet.
