Yes I agree anyone these days can become a BMW remapping flasher but still I hope you do agree that off the shelf tunes do not perform as well as custom tunes as they cannot push the maps as much when they are basically a one for all. I do rate them though and with a company like Dimsport behind you are sure to get well set up maps from them and good support.

It just depends on the variables. Many systems these days are closed loop, meaning they self tune themselves. But all else equal if someone wants to sit on a dyno for hours custom tuning no doubt they can make more power. And also no doubt a diesel flash tune can make more power than a JBD. My only point here is the JBD is an inexpensive and safe alternative offering a much faster install/removal time. It is not a resistor in a box eBay scam as you are inferring.
