Torque Limitation & Misfire Codes
Vehicle: 2003 X5 3.0 70,000 [approx.] 2nd owner (lease return vehicle)
Diagnostic Tool: PEAKE R5/FCX-3
Codes: 19 2F EF
Understand Meanings To Be:
19 = Table 19
2F = Torque Limitation, Safety Level 1 [THIS IS HEART OF QUESTION]
EF = Misfire, Cyl #2 [Bentley Service Manual translates to P0302 or 239]
Troubleshooting Done:
Word Search: basically nothing on torque limitation
Read X5 Service Manual: medium level understanding of parts and electrical circuits
Read BMW Technician training manuals: medium level of understanding on devices & control module involved plus what/why signals communicated
Initial Concern: Codes are unrelated, may have a transmission problem
Questions/Requests
1) Is there a way to align PEAKE codes with P codes / BMW Fault Codes?
2) Typically does a misfire bring a torque limitation, are these two related?
3) What is a torque limitation?
4) Are there any DYI links to address the Misfire?
5) Should I simply clear the codes and move on?
6) Please comment on problem
7) Please suggest where to find more training manuals
Thank you,
