I purchased the chains just before the last big snow storm on 1/7 and they are great. I leave my wife's 1991 535i down at the base of the mountain where the public road is sanded and salted. I then swap cars so I do not have to take off the chains on my X5. That is a tire hugging bear of a job in freezing weather. But I want another solution for next year, like another set of wheels with snow tires.
