I drink about the same number. We have Guinness here as well, but it has a different alcohol content (more than the UK) and it tastes different. I think it is brewed locally under license. Just doesn't seem the same to me, maybe because I am not in a pub on the Chester road, ducking due to the 5'6" headroom.
Guinness may be Irish, but I was in the UK back when I got real Guinness, so I guess I just associate it with the UK.
