Major Project Weekend, any tips?

So this weekend im going to be replacing the valve cover gaskets, O/S and all hoses attached, timing chain cover gaskets, vanos solenoid gaskets, throttle body gaskets, rear intake cover gasket, and valley pan cover/gasket. For those of you that have done this any tips for me?

I have all the gaskets in hand and last weekend I tore it down and removed the valve covers to send out for powdercoating, just picked them up.

When removing the intake manifold should I remove the fuel rail first or just removed it attached to the manifold? I didnt buy new injector o-rings and was hoping to just remove the fuel rail with the manifild to avoid the cost of the injector o-rings.

Also, is there a recomendation on where to get the glycerin for the valve cover gaskets? Thats the one item I have not found yet.

Thanks
