Nothing overly special...
1) Open the trunk, turn off the car, and remove the key
2) Eject your map disk from the old MKIII
3) Wait until your old MKIII goes to sleep (LED turns off)
4) If the LED doesn't turn off after about 5 minutes, then continue
5) Use coat hangers to release the old MKIII from the bracket.
6) Remove the three plugs on the back of the MKIII
7) Reconnect the new MKIII by connecting the plugs in this order
A) Connect the coax antenna
B) Connect the blue 18-pin plug
C) Connect the burgundy (or yellow) 18-pin plug
8) Turn the car back on and enjoy navigation
9) It will take it about 15 minutes of use before it downloads the Almanac and acquires your position from the satellites quickly and accurately
