Warning: Silcone spray if it gets anywhere near door seals allows the rubber to lose 'grip' and then doors start to move ever so slightly...then you get all sorts of rattles and squeaks!!! Sometimes rubber is there because it's mean't to STICK not SLIDE.
This has been documented as a particular problem for protective paint coatings...you know the sort 'DiamondBrite' etc., etc., where a new car is provided a protective coating...and YES it really does protect the paint, and YES it really does give you a sparkling finish by washing with no polish...BUT it also gives you squeaky doors...as does any lubricant if it gets anywhere near seals that are mean't to STICK not SLIDE...
Silicone does protect rubber...but also lubricates...
