It would help to hear from others who have used an awd dyno. I haven't, any dyno runs I have done have been on 2wd vehicles.
But from hearing the dealer's comments, and your description of what happened, I think what they meant is that the dyno rollers have to be set to 4wd (ie, locked together). They are not referring to your vehicle, but rather the dyno. I stand to be corrected, but I think that good awd dynos can be set either locked or floating. Any experts out there? It would probably help to know what type of dyno (rolling road) it was.
