Big Gar,
To be honest with you...BMW Lexington told me that I needed this module and quoted me about the same price. So i Asked them how much the part was and they told me about 1100 dollars. I started to call around different Bmw service departments and I ended up finding this for around 740. Then I found a buddy that has a Gt1 scanner. Before we put it in he erased the module and re learned the height. Ended up fixing the hold thing. I tried to return the part to Bmw and they wouldnt return it. They told me they cant return modules. So my worries is, your module might not be bad. You might want to get a second opinion. If it is you can call Bmw and tell them you are going to buy a brand new Ehc module cheaper from a differnet Bmw dealership becuase of the price differnece. This module I have has never been coded. Its brand new in the box. Never opened. So they would have to give you the same warranty. My part has a 2 year warranty on it already. The only thing they might give you problems with is putting it in. You would have to let them put it in too. You can also tell them you called a different Bmw dealer and they told you they will only charge 3.0 hours to install and program. And they have to match it. Ive done that before too. That will sve you alot of money. I can let you have the module for about 550. Its just sitting here anyways. People are charging 450 for them used. Then you can get it programmed and installed for 3 hours which should only be abour 350. Savings of $600
