In my younger years, I used to make dinner reservations as a "Doctor" and I always get the best table and service!

But seriously it is a great advantage to personally know a Doctor. When my kids were growing up, I always phoned my best friend (a GP) anytime of the day, even a few times in the middle of the night, when I had medical questions.

Now, we're high-tech, so I simply google first but I still call him, and when I start talking as if I'm familiar with my medical questions, his usual answer is " you must be on the internet again"
