IMHO, the disadvantage of replicas is quality... It does not undergo the same testing that BMW does on an OEM wheel on the specific vehicle. This translates directly to safety which I don't want to compromise on... I bought the X5 because of it's performance capabilities without sacrificing safety, and having replicas is like having a weak link in the chain...
