When my 2011 35i was new, it got around oh.. 15MPG combined, mostly city.
As it broke in some more, it did get CONSIDERABLY better.
I drive like.. well, rather aggressively these days now that I'm getting used to it and the computer holds steady at 19.6MPG, all city, @ 9500 miles.
On the highway, it will get almost 26MPG and that's according to the computer AND measured.
Generally speaking, I've noticed that the computer tells the truth over a longer term (i.e. more than one trip). I have read here before that you can expect it to be broken in by 12-15K miles. Mine is not budging past 19.5MPG, but that's JUST FINE in my opinion, for 300 horses / 300 pounds pushing around what does this thing weigh? 5500 pounds?
Most people that ride with me would swear I get horrible mileage, but when I tell them it's steady at 19.6MPG in the city, they ALWAYS ask "What? Driving like THIS!?"
Yep. I didn't really measure it at top speed. Not that I would know what that is. Nope.
<cough> 130 <cough>
I'm sure it does worse there.
