DSP (Digital Signal Processor) is the "premium" audio system offered by BMW for the X5. There are several ways to determine if you have DSP in your X5. One is to look in the passenger side rear compartment to see if there are dual sub-woofers installed.







If you have navigation then you can hit the "MENU" button and if one of the menu items is DSP then you have it - if it doesn't say DSP then you don't have DSP.









If you don't have navigation, look at the radio and if there is a DSP button then you have DSP.
