TheGodfather is on a distinguished road
Last summer I decided to buy an "entry level" Porter Cable 8" polisher. You can probably guess where this is going. I will cut to the chase and simply say my black paint looks like a disaster in the sunlight. I read, and I read, and I watched (videos) and I read about technique, quality pads, quality prep, quality polishes etc. etc. Well what I really learned is that I should have practiced somehow? The damn polisher was impossible to control and maneuver over some of the curves etc. Anyways:

I now have classic amateur micro marring from poor technique. It looks great in shade, overcast skies. Also it looks pretty good even in sunlight after a half ass hand applied polish, this is only temporary of course.

Simple question: Is the correction of my marred paint more involved than a standard 2-3 step polish from a professional detailer? Or will this damage be corrected by any standard quality multiple step polish? In other words is this going to cost more than a standard polish job to fix?

I acknowledge you cannot be certain without seeing it in person, however generally what is the deal with customer fudged paint?

Thanks for any info!
