I will give it a go. My concern was that the gears around of the bottom of the part that goes over the motor looks a little worn, does not look like you can turn it and put in on in another spot as it has three unequal slots for the mirror assembly to fit on top. Not even 100% sure I know where the original spot of that part goes back on as I didn't mark it (my bad). May be in for some frustrating trial and error later.

I don't think we have JB weld in Australia, but will see what I can find. Thanks for your post - has been most helpful.

I wonder if it is people forcing the power mirrors open and shut that snaps the post of these little motors?
