To elaborate a bit - autocross is a form of motorsport. It is run in a big empty parking lot. One car at a time on a road course delineated by orange cones. The object is to go as fast as possible without hitting any cones.

This is by far the safest form of motorsport, and probably the most affordable. Despite that, it still offers a sensation of speed and is both challenging and exhilirating.

Autoxer - if we get enough people interested I will approach the LA chapter auto-x committee and see if we can make it official. Although it might be pricey, if the meet is in Palm Springs we could use California Speedway. If we meet some place else, maybe we could use Streets of Willow as a glorified auto-x course.
