Ceramic pads will give you a softer pedal feel than metallic pads. Don't know why, they just do. I hate that but do confess I like the low dust.

Also, when you change pads, you should crack the bleeder and push the fluid out of the bleed screw when you are pushing the piston back in.

I always bleed the brakes fully after a pad change. Get a motiv brake pressure bleeder and it is an easy one person job.
