Tough comparison for me. Only test drove Cayenne twice.....have driven BMW daily for 16 months.
The Porsche "felt" lighter and more nimble. It was a bit more engaging. The BMW is easier to enjoy in terms of technology. The interior is far less cluttered with buttons. If I remember correctly the Porsche's power was easier to access. With the M I have to hit the M button and kick the shifter over to the left to feel the magic. Could be wrong on this detail. If you can find someone who has driven the latest Cayenne that would be best. If money is not at all important, I cannot imagine you would go wrong with the Porsche. For giggles, I configured one online. It is surprisingly easy to approach 150K without tax! Couple that with relatively lower discounts compared to BMW and money just cannot be a consideration in going down the P car road.
