I tried this and i was unsuccessful. I noticed there was a little white button on the switch. My question is the following:

is the white switch supposed to be pressed when the mirrors are closed? meaning the metal bracket is suppose to push down on the button?

or

does the button keep the mirrors closed? my metal piece bent a little and im trying to put it back to its original position.

I noticed that when the mirrors fold the white button is pressed and stays pressed.

any help would be appreaciated
