As for the wax i bought Meguiar's Gold class... hope that does the trick!
Don't remember but you can go to Meguiars website to check for rate of cut (they go from 1-10, and 10 being the most agressive and M105 is 10).
I got mine from a shop which sells auto-paint stuff, not local auto parts.

IMHO, as long you are willing to just work it a few times any compound will work eventually, the unique thing about M105 is that it uses chemmecial reaction to soften the paint and let the agitaion from polisher/machine to do it's job faster (The idea must come from black-smith which heat the metal to soften it before tempering/forming)
