I have a 2008 3.0d. On its first year the computer prompted unusual battery drain a couple times and I took it to the dealer and they ran through overnight current monitor plan and find all it was false alarm and upgrade the software and problem went away. However my first batter did failed on me completely by last Christmas.
I subsequently upgraded my batter to a 110 amp hour battery from Johnson Control and now I go on business trip over two weeks and felt no difference in cranking power after my trip.
