Same. I bought an 05 3.0i. Traded than in last December for my 4.8i. I am now 22. 4th BMW overall.

OP, as far as the financials of it..you just have to do some math. That's what it comes down to.

As far as switching from the 3.0 to the 4.8? I did it and do NOT regret it. Even with 1/2 the MPG's I still love my truck. It's actually funny because I'm younger so I get looks and you know the people are thinking, "must be driving his parents' X5 around..."

Nope! I actually had to convince my parents to get a BMW. They bought a 328xi loaded. I tried, so hard, to get them to buy a 335. No go.
