I've got the same problem. No one ever answered me either when I asked for some advice.

Along with the hesitation I also developed a problem when the AC is on that would cause the engine to idle down to a near stall (sometimes would stall) and then the ECU would see it was not maintaining RPM and it would shoot up to 1200 RPM or so and fall back down. Over and over and over.

On the throttle body you will see a plug off the engine harness that has 6 wires in it. When I jiggled that plug/wires it went away. I unplugged it and made sure that the pins were tight in the connector, cleaned them and plugged it back in. That fixed the crazy idle issue.

I still have the hesitation while driving. Yes, I've done it all too. Plugs, coils, getting the fuel filter changed this week.

I suspect its either the:

1) Throttle
2) Gas Pedal
3) Harness plugging into the throttle.

My vote is on #1. I think that #3 was not a problem but some issue with the pins on #1 and I was able to clear that out.

I called the dealer today and they get 7 bucks for the connector and then 11 dollars for each wire that plugs in the connector. Each wire has a 1 foot lead you splice in to the harness. It was going to be around 120 for that and then I have to do it myself.

The list price for the throttle body unit was ~400 'ish.

I don't know what the gas pedal runs.

But I assure you all of this mystery surging crap everyone is trying to figure out is in the throttle/pedal assy.
