Sorry to revive an old thread but just wanted to state that I followed these instructions and had the xenon bulb replaced in about 20 minutes... I've seen other threads where the airbox has to be removed, the battery disconnected, yaddiyadda... this works and works well... just wasn't sure about the possibility of an electrical discharge so I took basic precautions and it took very little time...
